Letter and word mold — complete guide

Quick answer

The Word Mold is a mold for creating 3D words and letters using chocolate, resin, soap, or clay. Ideal for cakes with custom messages, place names, handmade soaps with text, and name signs. It is generated from an image with the desired text, creating a cavity in the shape of the letters.

1

Prepare your text

Create an image with the desired text. Use a thick, legible font. We recommend sans-serif fonts for best results.

Keep the text short (1-3 words) so the mold stays manageable.

2

Select Word Mold

Choose Word Mold in the selector. You will see the mold cavity in the shape of the letters.

3

Adjust parameters

Letter depth: 3-6 mm (5 mm recommended). Size: 5-15 cm. Mold wall thickness: 2 mm.

4

Download and print

PETG, 0.2 mm layer, 4 walls, 25% infill (the mold must be rigid). No supports.

5

Use the mold

Pour tempered chocolate, resin, liquid soap, or clay into the cavity. Let cure according to the material. Demold carefully.

For chocolate: refrigerate 15-20 minutes before demolding.

Quick tips
Place names (city names) in chocolate are super popular for event souvenirs.
Use bold or black fonts for thicker letters that are easier to demold.
For very small letters (<1 cm), increase the depth to 6 mm.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make long words?
Yes, but we recommend a maximum of 3 words so the mold stays practical. For longer texts, individual letters work better.
Do the letters look good when demolded?
Yes, the mold reproduces every detail. The 5 mm depth gives letters with good relief.
Does it work for soap?
Yes, the mold works with glycerin soap, melt-and-pour soap, and polymer clay.
